This past week Learn 2 Fish With Us attended Farm Technology Days (FTD) which was held Sun Prairie, Wisconsin on Tuesday, August 25th through Thursday, August 27th. Learn 2 Fish With Us had a fishing educational booth in the 4H Youth area of FTD.
The booth consisted of Lake Shakespeare which was a 30×40 blue tarp and thirty-five hungry Backyard Bass, fish identification, knots, fishing presentations and of course live bait so the kids could see them and touch them. The live bait consisted of big sucker minnows, crawlers and of course leeches. Lake Shakespeare was the hit of the booth as kids would see other kids catching a Backyard Bass and would com a running!!! Many youth said this was their best fishing day ever!!! Many kids also let us know that this was their first time casting or that they had just caught their first fish. A huge thanks to the 4H and FFA volunteers for all their help in the Learn 2 Fish With Us booth. We could not have worked with that many kids without them!!
Greg presented his Fishing Basics seminar on the 4H Youth Stage where he educated them on all the skills needed to fish.
Learn 2 Fish With Us would like to thank all their sponsors for all the great prizes they gave us to hand out to the kids. Prizes consisted of fishing combos, Future Pro Shirts, hats, water bottles, hooks, casting plugs and more!!!
