Using video technology, the kids got to experience the thrill of ice fishing firsthand, practicing their jigging skills and learning how to set the hook just like they would on a frozen lake. The Ice Fishing Basics program made a stop at Brillion Elementary’s after-school program, where kindergarten through third-grade students dove into the world of ice fishing. They learned how to use an auger, skim ice, choose the right bait, tie essential knots, and handle the gear needed for a successful day on the ice.
