The Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh recently enjoyed an unforgettable experience at Camp Radford, where Fish Camp was held! The event provided an afternoon filled with fishing education and hands-on activities, creating lasting bonds and memories.
The day began with a “Fishing Basics” seminar, followed by educational stations where participants learned to tie knots, cast safely and accurately, and rig their fishing combos. Additionally, the campers were taught how to fillet a fish and prepare it for cooking. The highlight of the day was when they enjoyed a delicious meal of fish they had prepared, consuming more than one and a half quarts of fresh fish.
“We didn’t think we’d even like the fish,” said Addie and Emma. “But we LOVE it!”
