Fishing Pro and Angler Educator Greg Karch spoke to the Lighthouse Angler Fishing Club members at the September meeting which was held at the American Legion hall in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. Greg started out talking about the organization Learn 2 Fish With Us and what they accomplished in 2015. Greg also spoke on how they could partner up to provide much needed volunteers for the 2016 events.
Greg started his seminar by reviewing the equipment and techniques needed to perch fish on Lake Winnebago. Greg shared some of his tips as he had his best perch fishing day this year the day prior to his seminar. Next Greg reviewed pulling flies in the river systems. He showed how to tie flies inline, fishing equipment to use, utilizing the trolling motor to pull the flies and the technique.
Greg then showed fishing club attendee’s how to tie a crawler harness and the components needed. Greg then showed his favorite colors and blade he uses along with demonstrating how to properly pull crawler harnesses with Off Shore Guppy weights and planer boards, After the seminar Greg spent time answering questions that the Lighthouse Anglers had.
