This past month, Learn 2 Fish With Us donated fully rigged fishing combos to the Washington Park Urban Ecology Center, thanks to the generous support of our great sponsors and donors. These new fishing combos will be used this month when youth from the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Milwaukee have the opportunity to go fishing.
Earlier this summer, Captain Greg hosted six Fishing Education Programs at Boys & Girls Clubs across Milwaukee, teaching youth the skills and knowledge they need to get started fishing. Now, it is time to take what they learned and put those skills to use on the water!
The fishing sessions will be hosted by the Washington Park Urban Ecology Center, giving the youth a chance to experience the excitement of fishing firsthand. Once the clubs have completed their fishing sessions, the new fishing combos will become part of the Washington Park Urban Ecology Center’s fishing equipment inventory, allowing even more youth to enjoy the sport of fishing in the future.
We look forward to seeing all the fish they catch and, most importantly, all the smiles they will have while enjoying time outdoors and learning to fish!
