A Weekend of Fishing Education and Excitement
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Sports Show was a tremendous success, and what an incredible weekend it was! As a nonprofit dedicated to fishing education, Learn 2 Fish With Us was proud to participate in this annual event for the third consecutive year.
Our Fishing Basics and Beyond the Basics seminars had outstanding attendance, with youth, families, and anglers of all ages eager to learn. Participants enjoyed hands-on instruction covering essential fishing skills such as casting techniques, knot tying, and selecting the right tackle. It was inspiring to see so many people excited to build their confidence and skills on the water. Attendees also learned about aquatic invasive species and the important role we all play in preventing their spread.
Empowering Future Anglers with Gear and Knowledge
One of the highlights of the event was helping young anglers begin their fishing journey. Thanks to the generosity of our amazing sponsors and donors, we were able to provide kids with:
- Spin-cast fishing combos
- Mini tackle boxes filled with tackle
- Fishing educational books packed with tips and techniques
These resources ensure that youth leave the show not only excited about fishing, but also equipped with the knowledge and gear needed to get started.
