It has been a very difficult couple of days after learning that early this week our dear friend, Learn 2 Fish With Us Board Member and Treasurer, Rick, tragically passed away.
Rick was a devoted family man who deeply loved his family, fishing, and the mission of Learn 2 Fish With Us and others. He truly believed in what Learn 2 Fish With Us is doing and was always reminding us that our work was part of God’s mission — serving others, teaching youth, and bringing families together through fishing.
Rick gave countless hours as a dedicated volunteer and leader. His passion, faith, and steady support helped shape our organization in so many ways. Just recently, Rick’s son Steve joined our Board of Directors, and through him — and through the many lives Rick touched — his presence will continue to be felt for years to come.
While we will miss Rick tremendously, we find comfort knowing he is in a better place and still watching over his family and all of us.
Please keep Rick’s family in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.
In 2026, we will honor Rick’s memory during our fishing clinics — continuing the mission he cared so deeply about.
Rick, thank you for your friendship, your leadership, and your heart for serving others. You will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
