Today, Learn 2 Fish With Us and Captain Greg hosted two Fishing Basics sessions for the third graders at Woodland Elementary. The excitement from these young anglers was incredible as they learned the essential skills and equipment needed to begin fishing and actively participated throughout the seminar.
Thanks to the generous support of Spellman’s Marina, Warrior Boats, and Mercury, each youth received a Certified Youth Angler shirt. In total, nearly 100 students took part in today’s program.
One of the highlights of the day was discovering that a student in each session already knew that Wisconsin’s state fish is the Muskie—impressive knowledge from future anglers!
It was a fantastic day inspiring the next generation to get outdoors and enjoy fishing.
