Today, Learn 2 Fish With Us proudly hosted our third annual Fishing Basics program in partnership with VPI, Inc.—an organization dedicated to supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
We held the session at the VPI Community Day Center, where participants in their skill-building program joined us for a one-hour Fishing Basics experience. We covered essential fishing concepts, equipment, and techniques, and everyone had the opportunity to practice casting. The smiles said it all.
Later this summer, VPI, Inc. will take program participants fishing at the Outagamie Conservation Club, where they’ll put their new skills into action. Over the past two years, they’ve caught some impressive fish, and we’re excited to see what this season brings.
Each participant received a Learn 2 Fish With Us Certified Angler shirt and a fishing education book. VPI, Inc. also received a number of fully rigged fishing combos to support their upcoming fishing trips—so they’re ready to hit the water.
