On Tuesday, March 12th, it may have been a cold and windy day outside, but that didn’t stop the excitement as Learn 2 Fish With Us hosted a Fishing Basics program for the 3rd and 4th graders of Chilton Elementary.
This marked the first time Learn 2 Fish With Us has hosted a program at Chilton Elementary, making it a special opportunity for students to learn the skills and equipment needed to begin fishing. During the session, students were introduced to the fundamentals of fishing and gained knowledge that will help them get started enjoying time on the water.
Earlier in the day, Captain Greg had already hosted a morning session for another school, making it a busy but rewarding day of teaching youth about fishing and the outdoors.
The students were very engaged throughout the program and excited to learn about the basics of fishing. Programs like these are designed to give youth the confidence and knowledge needed to try fishing on their own with family and friends.
Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, each student received a fishing education book and a Learn 2 Fish With Us fishing shirt to help continue their learning and excitement about fishing.
