The afternoon of Monday, May 11th, Learn 2 Fish With Us hosted a Fishing Basics program for the 7th and 8th graders of Markesan Middle School. Students learned the equipment, techniques, and skills needed to begin fishing while gaining hands-on knowledge they can use on the water.
Each youth received a Learn 2 Fish With Us fishing shirt along with a fishing educational book to continue building their fishing knowledge. Next week, the students will be heading out on a 3-day camping trip where they plan to put their newly learned fishing skills to use!
To help get them started, we also donated fully rigged Shakespeare Fishing combos so the students are ready to hit the water.
