This past weekend Learn 2 Fish With Us Angler Educator Greg Karch hosted four Fishing Basics seminars during the Madison Fishing Expo.  The seminars were at 10 AM and 2 PM on Saturday and Sunday and they were well attended.  The first seminar had over two hundred people that attended, and for all four we had over five hundred people.  That is how we are going to grow the sport of fishing.  Every youth went home with a fishing combo or Future Pro shirt compliments of the NPAA.  Greg’s wrist is still sore from signing a lot of shirts for the youth.  Greg said it was amazing how many people came up to him and said the seminar was one of the best they attended and I even learned something!!!   Learn 2 Fish With Us mission statement is ‘Grow the sport of fishing by educating and inspiring beginner and experienced anglers!!  Check out all the great pictures along with how interested the kids are on what they are being taught!!!

This past weekend Learn 2 Fish With Us was at the Northeast Sport Fishin Show and educated youth and adults on Fishing.  Learn 2 Fish With Us had a booth that displayed all the fishing educational props that are used in the Fishing Basics seminar along with the walleye that Greg caught that went over 13 pounds.  I think the kids liked that they could check out and play with all the different types of bait.  The public was also able to check out pictures from past fishing events.  Adults asking fishing related questions also learned a lot.  Greg display Off Shore Tackle Company’s product that he use while trolling and answered many questions that the anglers had.  At 2:30 PM Greg presented his Fishing Basics seminar to a packed house and after the seminar each youth went home with a spin cast fishing combo thanks to Critters.

This past Sunday was Kid’s Day at the Milwaukee Musky Show and Learn 2 Fish With Us was there.  It was cold outside but that did not stop the families from attending the show.  At 9:30 AM, Certified Angler Educator, Greg Karch, with Learn 2 Fish With Us kicked off his Fishing Basics seminar which taught youth and families everything needed to start fishing.  After the seminar each youth received a Shakespeare Fishing Combo or a Future Pro Shirt thanks to the National Professional Anglers Association (NPAA).  This weekend I will be at the Northeast Wisconsin Fishing show and will do my Fishing Basics seminar at 2:30 PM on Sunday the 22nd.

The Winnebago 4H Youth where introduced to the Fishing Basics this past Saturday at the Boys and Girls Brigade in Neenah, Wisconsin.  They learned everything from safety while fishing, different fishing combo’s. how to cast and be accurate, knots, fish identification, parts of a fish, Clean Drain Dry message along with many other things.  Many of the youth got to work with out certified angler educators and instructors.  The youth thought the best part of the event when they got to check out the bait.  At the end of the event each youth received a Future Pro shirt which was donated by the National Professional Angler Association (NPAA).  All the youths wanted Greg our certified angler instructor and fishing pro to sign their shirts.  A fun time was had by all!!

This past week angler educator Greg Karch presented his Fishing Basic seminar at the Chicago Muskie Expo.  The seminar started out with Lakken a seven year old explaining what fishing means too him.  Greg then educated the youth and families on fishing which included, safety while fishing, reviewed spincast and spinning combo’s, how to cast, knots, bait used, fish identification, part of a fish, Clean, Drain, Dry message, sportsmanship and catch and release.  After the Fishing Basics seminar, the Illinois Musky Trail handed out there awards to the youth for the muskies they caught this past year.  Once all the awards were handed out each youth was able to build their own Musky Bucktail!!!  How cool is that!!!

Each youth that attended the fishing seminar received a fishing combo or Future Pro Shirt that were donated by the  National Professional Anglers Association.

Learn 2 Fish With Us Angler Educator was awarded National Professional Angler Association ‘Member Of The Year’ for his outstanding efforts to ‘Grow The Sport’ in a manner consistent with NPAA’s mission Statement.  Besides hosting thirty-seven Fishing Clinics that introduced youth and families to fishing, Greg also managed NPAA Future Angler Events that were hosted in thirteen different states.  Way to go Greg!!!.
